More than 90% of the raw materials used to manufacture Coverlam tiles are of natural origin, with preference given to nearby suppliers, importing as little as possible to avoid CO2 emissions caused by transport.
It is also ensured that these raw materials come from sustainable mining operations and are of the highest quality, free of impurities. Furthermore, the compounds used in the manufacturing process contain a high percentage of recycled material.
Coverlam is completely free from all traces of volatile organic compounds (VOC). No VOCs will be emitted during use under any conditions of use.
The consumption of quarried raw materials in 3.5mm- and 5.6mm-thick tiles is two to three times lower than in similar products of standard thickness. The reduced thickness and weight means the number of square metres transported per trip is maximized, helping to reduce CO2 and NOX emissions.
